Sorority Cheer

Painted my nails in my sorority's colors for an event this weekend, just simple letters and hearts (also attempted a cally lily but that basically failed).

Polishes used were Petites by Scherer's Sapphire for the base, Avon's Romance for the letters, and Avon's French Tip White for the hearts and flower.

Dotting

Tonight I attempted my first ever non-simply nail polish job: dotting. I copied this design from The Daily Nail, called What's the Mod-der?, and while it doesn't look as perfect as I'd have liked I didn't have that large of a pallet to work with.

I used Avon French White Tip as the base, Wet 'n' Wild Black Creme for the "flowers," Zoya Robyn, Zoya Mira, Avon Abstract Emerald, and Sinful Colors Cream Pink for the centers of the flowers, and Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat for the top.

Breaking the Habit

I am a nail biter.  I've been biting my nails for as long as I can remember.  I've tried practically every known remedy to stop and nothing has helped.  The only thing that has come close is getting acrylic nails - can't bite through plastic thankfully.

I bite when I'm bored, I bite when I'm busy, I bite when I'm happy, I bite when I'm sad.  Most times I don't realize I'm doing it or I can't seem to stop myself when I catch my fingers in my mouth.

I'm coming off a week-long stint with Kiss glue-on nails.  I wore them for three days before the first nail broke off, after five days they'd all come off and needed to be re-glued on.  After the re-gluing they lasted a grand total of one day before I said to hell with them.  I only tried the nails because I wanted to see if I could get something quick from the drugstore that would stop the biting for a time.

This is my attempt to document my no more nail biting progress with pretty designs and whatever else it takes to stop this nasty habit of mine.
